A stitch in Time….

January 3, 2011

The blog has been quiet for the past few weeks – but we are back and things are gonna get busy again! Keep an eye out for our big VERY late boxing day sale, and in the meantime check out this crazy project:

Knit Clock

by  Siren Elise Wilhelmsens

Developing Time – Time Developing is a further development and refinement of her graduation project from University of Arts, Berlin, Time Machine 365 – Knitting Clock. The Knitting Clock-project was designed to measure and register time in a three dimensional form to visualise the otherwise invisible time factor, which connects us all. The project can best be described as a merge of a knitting machine and a cuckoo clock. Every passing of a half hour is marked by the knitting of a mesh, a full day is registered in 48 meshes and a year results in an approximately two metres long scarf.
