Owl Sweater – Sweater a Month October 2014

February 11, 2015

Owl Sweater

My nephew Stanley recently turned 2 years old yesterday, so I thought I would post about the sweater I made for him for Christmas.  I had this great idea that I would knit cowichan-style sweaters for all my nieces and nephews for Christmas – this is the ONLY one that I completed. Perhaps next year I will start my Christmas knitting earlier than October. This also was my October project for the One-Sweater-A-Month challenge.

I used the Briggs and Little Country Roving and the old White Buffalo pattern #5. The only places you can find White Buffalo patterns these days are etsy or ebay – or if you stop by the shop we have a binder full of them, which we are more than happy to share “…..for the explicit purpose of personal research…” due to canadian copyright laws and the fact that we are not sure if they have passed into the public domain yet.

Love you Stanley!

I have seen so many fantastic designs lately using the Briggs and Little Country Roving – I would love to show off your design. If you send a picture and description to we will showcase your design on the website.
