Baaad Anna’s offers several classes with a sliding scale fee, which are affordable and respect our instructors’ work. When you register, please pay according to your income. Thank you.
Beginner Knitting
This is a beginner knitting class for anyone who has never picked up needles, or for someone who is looking for a beginner refresher. Participants will learn the basics including casting on, knitting, purling and casting off. The class project will be a choice between simple hat, scarf, or arm warmers.
Minimum 5 participants and maximum 8.
The class runs for 3 or 4-weeks (dependent on month – 6 hours altogether) and includes a Baaad Anna’s beginner handout.
Materials needed: One pair of 6mm needles and 100g of a chunky weight yarn. Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store.

Beyond the Basics
For knitters that are comfortable with the basic stitches. You have a pattern or project that you want to tackle and you need to learn some more skills.
Minimum 5 participants and maximum 8.
Materials needed: Bring a pattern and materials as needed. Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store. Please visit before the start of the first class if you have not chosen a pattern or yarn. Our staff will be happy to help you.

Skill Building Workshops with Holli Yeoh
Intarsia
Tackle the intricacies of intarsia to add blocks and motifs of colour to your knitting. You’ll learn all the basics including joining colours, avoiding holes, managing loose ends and reading graphs. There is nothing to fear and by the end of this class you’ll have the confidence to work with colour!

Short Rows
Learn several methods for working short rows and see how they compare so you can decide on your favourite method. You’ll learn 6 different ways to work short rows including the Wrap and Turn and Japanese short rows.
DATE: Saturday April 1st 3:00-6:00pm
COST: $60 (+tax) OR $100 for both classes on April 1st
KIDS LEARN TO KNIT
Do you want to learn to knit? Learn new skills? Or make fun projects?
Min 3 and max 8 participants for students from Kindergarten—age 5—through Grade 7.
In this project based class, you will learn how to knit—if you don’t already know—and/or learn new techniques while working on cool and simple projects like scarves, cowls, fingerless gloves or toys. Each kid knits what they want based on interest and skill level while being guided in a fun and engaging group of knitters and friends. All levels welcome.
An interactive welcome booklet will be provided for each student at the beginning of the first class. Patterns/project ideas will be supplied for students based on their skill level & interest.
Materials needed: One pair of straight knitting needles—5 mm (US 8) to 8 mm (US 11)—and yarn—worsted to chunky weight. Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store. Amanda will be available to help 30 minutes prior to the first class.
Scissors & tapestry needles will be provided for class time use.

My First Sweater
You are comfortable with the knit and purl stitches and now would like to try knitting your first sweater! In this introductory sweater class, Holli will guide you through the process.
